Over the years the council has acquired over 300 works of art, most of which are purchased at the annual juried arts festival the third Sunday in June. The art is displayed in area businesses and public buildings.

Because the collection is becomeing so large, over 270 pieces, some of the artwork is located in the private homes of board members.
